The same night Caitlin Clark broke the rookie record for three-point shots in a WNBA season, two other record-smashing athletes were also in the house: Olympic gold medalists Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas.
The crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse went absolutely wild when the Olympians, gymnast and sprinter, showed up on the Jumbotron during the Indiana Fever game against the Connecticut Sun on August 28. According to multiple social media posts, Biles and Thomas were attending their first WNBA game—and they definitely picked a good one. Not only did Clark break a major WNBA record, but the Fever took home a W at the end of an absolute nail-biter.

In fact, all five starters—Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, NaLyssa Smith, and Lexie Hull—scored double-digit points to secure their 84-80 victory against the Connecticut Sun, putting teh team closer to their first playoff season than it has been since 2016.
While the Fever were surely excited about their win, they seemed even more pumped to meet Biles and Thomas after the game. For her part, Clark looked shocked to see the Olympians waiting for them outside the tunnel—and the reactions only got better from there. “Text me, text me!” Boston shouted at the photo taker after posing for her pic, while Smith was so excited she practically skipped away.

“It was so exciting,” Biles told the camera. “Usually the boys will just pass and be like, ‘Yo,’ but they were so excited, that was so cool.”
Of course, Fever fans were just as excited by the interaction as their favorite players. “WHEN OUR FEVER GIRLS TURN INTO FANGIRLS THIS IS SO PRECIOUS,” one user responded to the video on X.com, while a TikTok user wrote, “look at all that GOATs ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Another Fever fan thanked Biles and Thomas for making this their first WNBA game, writing, “the entire building went wild when they announced you were there! It was one of the loudest cheers I’ve heard.”
As Simone Biles wrote in her own post about the meetup, “EVERYONE WATCHES WOMENS SPORTS.”
