Of all the millennial-coded moments on night two of the Democratic National Convention—both Obamas, Doug, Modest Mouse, etc.—none was more so than Lil Jon’s surprise appearance representing Georgia during the ceremonial roll call. Everybody, say it with me: “To the window…to the Walz!”

For this year’s roll call, the portion of the convention in which delegates from each state formally log their votes for the presidential candidate, the Democrats decided to mix it up and host a bit of a dance party. Each state was introduced with an instrumental version of a classic song, usually relevant to that state’s history or famous resident. So we heard Bruce Springsteen for New Jersey, Dropkick Murphys for Massachusetts, and Eminem for Michigan. Then, it was Georgia’s turn.

One of Georgia’s most famous sons, Lil Jon himself appeared when the roll was called for his state and he performed a short remix of both “Shots” and “Get Low.” He urged the crowd to rap with him “We not going back” and switched up the words to “Get Low,” saying, “To the window, to the Walz!” The internet quickly declared Lil Jon’s brief set the best thing to ever happen in politics. And particularly for the millennials.

“Conventions must be like this forever now I don’t make the rules Lil Jon does,” joked one X user.

“I need Lil Jon doing this when Fulton and DeKalb drop their ballots at like 11pm on election night,” joked another, referencing the two most Democratic-leaning counties in the state. But it’s not like millennials were the only ones enjoying turning down for what.

Historically, the roll call has been one of the most yawn-inducing parts of each party’s convention. So, no one was expecting it to become a dance party hosted by the shiny-blue-suit-wearing DJ Cassidy. And certainly no one expected to see Lil Jon taking over the DNC.

Not that we’re complaining.
