Jenn Tran’s Dancing with the Stars journey is off to a hot start. The first Asian American Bachelorette isn’t letting a little thing like a broken engagement slow her down; she’s ready to show everyone just how unbothered (and hot) she is following her teary breakup with Devin Strader.
“The whole journey happened in a way that needed to happen, and I’m very happy with the way that things ended,” Tran told Glamour at the start of the season. “It’s definitely an ending that I didn’t see coming for myself. My family won’t see it coming, and I don’t think the viewers will see it coming too. I’m excited for it all to unfold.”
Fans also have a few things to say to production.
During the live finale of The Bachelorette, Tran sobbed while watching the footage of the moment she proposed to Strader, with him proposing right back a moment later. She had just revealed that only a month prior, Strader dumped her over the phone and ignored her texts. “He’d basically said that he didn’t love me anymore and didn’t feel the same way and felt like something had been off since the second that he proposed. He regretted getting engaged,” she told the audience. It was an uncomfortable watch to say the least, especially as Strader has reportedly been spending time since the breakup flirting with other women.
But now that Jenn Tran is on Dancing with the Stars, she’s getting another chance at a happy ending.
Tears now dried, the University of Wisconsin alum stepped out for her first appearance with her DWTS partner, Sasha Farber, in a tiny, lime green dress (it looks white under a flash but trust, it’s green) that makes it clear Tran is ready for Brat Fall.

Glowing. Devin whomst? It’s going to be a spicy season of ABC’s popular ballroom dance competition, with stars like fake heiress Anna Delvey and Olympians Ilona Maher and Stephen “Pommel Horse Guy” Nedoroscik among the competitors. Should be good.
